Ambertini: I delivered a baby this weekend.

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Did that catch you’re attention? I hope so! It is mostly true. I helped deliver a baby, I got to catch it anyway. My sister went into labor on Sat, 4 weeks early and delivered a whopping 10.6 lbs baby girl who I just found out was named after me! Now how cool is that?

So why am I telling you this? Well I would really like to take my other neice, the new big sister, to see Hanna Montana. My goal here is to be the favorite Aunt EVER!

I want to be the one who takes her to dye her hair and buy her the clothes that her mom hates. I’m sure we will pull the fake piercings and fake tatoo bit quite often too. Now don’t you think Hanna Montant would be a great start for all of this? My neice is only eight but maybe I could dye her hair blue or red for the occasion. I would even dye my hair red if you really want me to! I would LOVE if I won this!

Some interesting things about me so that maybe you will like me more(come on, you know you want to)would be, hmm.
i’m 27, a mother of 2 boys, I’ve been married for 7 years and I am obsessed with girly things. I love to treat my neices like daughters and I sometimes forget that being 27 is old to them but I remember as soon as I see them rolling their eyes at me. I wish I could be a writer, I am a real estate who doesn’t work and I am constantly looking for a bit of sanity here and there. I’m obsessed with reading blogs and anything online. I have a pretty big tatoo on my back of a antique compass with the chinese symbols for Love, Wisdom, Happiness and Wealth where the NWES should be. It is my “Direction” in life. Hmmm, anything else? Oh, my little secret obbession this season on TV was Farmer Wants a Wife. Seriously, dumb, even ludacrious but I just couldn’t pull myself away from it. I eat lots of fudge. I love running through the sprinklers. I have two Boston Terrier dogs. I have moved four times in seven years because I can’t seem to feel settled. I love to cook. Well that must be 300 words so you probably want me to shut up.

And by the way, you are freakin’ awesome for doing this! You’re going to make someones 4th of July seem like Christmas! So, You Rock!

tgdtami: The Most Compasionate Nine Year Old

Monday, June 30th, 2008

The Most Compasionate Nine Year Old I know is my daughter she is incredibly beautiful from the inside out. When My daughter was five years old she wanted to go over to Africa to help the poor, She said “Mom they have nothing, they sleep on the floor, they bathe in muddy water and the children are sick. I want to go there with lots of food and five builders to help build houses.” When she was in the first grade someone was going to Africa for a service project and My daughter came home with her eyes just glowing she asked if she could donate and I told her sure thinking she might find some old clothing and shoes.
My daughter came out of her room with some of her really nice clothes and shoes to give to the children in Africa.
She told me that she wanted to give the best because they have nothing and she wanted someone over there to have the best, Not only did she donate clothing and shoes she also went through our food storage and took two bags full of food. I believe she should win these tickets because she is always thinking of other people and never about herself. I don’t even think she know how to be selfish.
She is always wanting to help, She helps me out so much with her little brothers. She will help her oldest brother learn to read she loves to teach him what she knows. She also loves to help me out with her baby brother, she always takes him for walks around the neighborhood, plays with him, she will even bathe him sometimes for me.
I believe she is the prime example of service and she is the most sincere little person I have ever met. She teaches me way more than I teach her.
Thank You for taking your time to read about my daughter and if you ever meet her you will understand what I mean.

Monday, June 30th, 2008

o my gosh, it’s miley cyrus!!!! you are so generous to give these tickets away! well anyway let’s get on to the whole essay! I LOVE miley cyrus/hannah montana!!! in her shows she is totally so funny and she is a pretty cute girl! she is really talented and really really hilarious!  so if she is that good i want to go to her concert!  she has a great voice! and I have never been to a concert before and if I get the tickets I will be able to go to a girl’s concert that i really truly love! I really want to meet her ,but going to a concert is very special chance to have ! And she seems very patient with all her fans!  everybody counting on you to do a great performance and that is what you have to give them but you don’t know what they expect! she has a very hard life it seems and she is not ever timid in front of camera, or at least on mileyworld.com i have! I really love miley and i think she is a great girl and so it would be fantastic if i saw her in person!  my sisters and i love her and we love to always talk about her! in the morning our daily routine is to go in the bathroom and do our hair and blast the hannah montana /miley cyrus music up!!! we always sing to her songs! i  think that my sisters and i need a break from all work , because i think that we are almost the only kids in the summer that don’t get to sleep in! we have to do a daily routine , and it and at school we have to work 24.7 and I think we need a break from working!!! you might not beleive me, but think of all you who are reading this right now, sometimes do you think that too? well think really hard! well that happens to me all the time!!! and i love hannah montana!!! and i really want to go to her concert!  and again i adore miley cyrus and i think she is a great roll model for kids, (exept for pics.) and besides, i am a kid an i a think she is a good roll model for me and she is really pretty and funny in her shows and for everything she does!  and she has a good taste in clothes(except for sometimes)she if so great ! i have 4 sisters and don’t you think that is a lot for tickets, i mean if you get that back back kind , then there is no point of going cause you can not ever see her or you can only see the side, any way that is great seats,8th row!!!!! cause if you are in the front row then you wont be able to see her because of the stage is so tall so if i win thank you so much and good luck everybody!!!

Brooksie: Me and Miley

Monday, June 30th, 2008

The time has finally come!Me and my family have loved Miley Cyrus for a long time. This opportunity has come.We have always wanted to go to her concert. The tickets were way to pricey and boy! They were gone like there were no tomorrow .We do not necessarily deserve them. Even though people think that they deserve them, they don’t. I am not obsessed with Miley Cyrus, I am just a big fan. She is a wonderful, beautiful, kind girl. Even though she makes mistakes with pictures and stuff, she said sorry and I forgive her. People comment her saying that she is a “fat, talentless, lard” and say that she is only famous because of her dad. I disagree. She definitely is not talentless. It takes a lot to be a great actress and a singer. She is great. I always wanted to go to her concert. If I don’t deserve the tickets, then nobody does!! Just Kidding! Some people say that they don’t have fun in the summer and they just say that so then you’ll feel bad for them and choose them. They should have read the rules. NO SOB STORIES PEOPLE! I’ve been having fun. Canoeing and sleepovers, but now it is time to bring it to the next step…CONCERTS! Well, not really, but it would be really exciting if I won. I know lots of people say this, but I love Miley. I have never been to any of her concerts, but she is my hero. I am not really in it to win it, but I really want to win. I have seen all of the “Hannah Montana” episodes and know all of her songs by heart. Which will come in handy if I win. I have a friend and she got to go to five concerts, see Miley’s trailer, and get a picture with Miley. I’m not meaning to complain or make this a sob story, but I would like to tell her that I have been to one of Miley’s concerts. I thknk that Miley is way funny, and I would like to see her in the flesh. See is awesome, wonderful, sweet, great, fantastic, and extraordinary. It is marvelous that she spends time with her family even though she is a pop-star. She has a pretty voice and I am glad that she decided to share it with the planet. She is really brave. I could never go on stage and sing in front of billions of people. 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

,000,000,000,000,cheers for Miley! It was great of you to let a lucky person win a fabulous prize like this. You rock.

Ima Doofas: Rock on and bring on the rockstars!! All of them!

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Hey there!! What’s up! Thank you for taking the time to read my essay. This is a really great experience and opportunity.I just hope that my essay is convincing enough.Anyway, on with my essay. I would really like to win these tickets to see Miley. She is a great person with a great talent. She is really pretty too!  I am glad that she is willing to share her talent with the world. You know, some people in the world are too shy to do that. I am not sure that she was EVER shy. But anyway. Me and my family always go and watch fireworks outside the stadium of fire and BYU. But, a change is always good once in a while. Like ACTUALLY going inside the stadium of fire. That would be awesome. Miley is a great girl, but she is not the only one that I am excited about seeing. The blue man group!! Awe yeah! That would be totally amazing. They don’t talk, but they do express themselves through their actions and their music. One time I saw them on a tv show and they were playing this music with these kids and then they started like splattering paint all over this canvas. n the end, the painting was really cool looking.  It was sweet. It is so freakin’ cool how they are all blue. One time, I spilled this blue pipe glue all over the sidewalk. Then I tried to clean it all up but it got all over my hand. I washed it off, but it didn’t come off. That was my experience being blue. I am not sure that I enjoyed it to the fullest. It was pretty fun though. My sisters wouldn’t let me touch them with it and then my littlest sister would call it my “gooey hand.” Eventually I peeled it all off. Anyway, they would be pretty cool to see. Okay, now about Glenn Beck. I can’t say anything about him, because I don’t know who the heck he is. But I am excited to find out. Thank you for reading this. Good Luck to all you other people that entered this contest. Bye!

Rush Girls: Talk about Suh-weet!

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Don’t get your tissues. This IS NOT a sob story. Okay no offense, but I hate it when people say that they are Miley’s biggest fan. There is no way to actually know for sure. But, we can say that we are GIGANTIC fans of Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. I think that she is a great role model for girls all around the world. (And maybe even a few boys!) Sure she makes mistakes, but so does everybody else on the planet. She seems so patient with all of her fans, and that is something that I could probably not due. I mean, having a million people shoving things at you and all the noise…..I would sooner or later pop. But she seems to hang in there, and can make everybody happy. Whenever we think about her and get a conversation started, we feel so happy and want to meet her 1000x more then we did before. And before, man that was a LOT already. You can imagine. We have never been to one of her concerts before, since the tickets were always so pricey. So we jumped when our Mom told us about this contest. We don’t mean to brag or anything, but we are girls who work really hard in school, and definitely at home. We are probably some of the only kids that actually have a morning routine that we have to stick to. We are probably some of the only kids that don’t get to sleep-in in the mornings. I don’t know about you, but I think that we need a little “reward.” Again, I am not meaning to brag and be all prissy and sassy and think that I deserve everything. We are really big fans of Miley. Thanks for opening this contest. Let the best essay win!! Oh yeah. Good Luck to all you other people out there too!!

Jay: Why we would love to go to Stadium of Fire

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I don’t believe that our family of four deserves to go to Stadium of Fire any more than anyone else trying to get tickets, but I can tell you why we would LOVE to go.
First, our children are huge fans of Miley Cyrus.  Our nine year old daughter sings and dances to her music day in and day out.  Our 13 year old son won’t admit to being a Miley fan, but he never objects to listening to her music.  He’e even been known to sing along when he believes no one is watching.
Second, we have always wanted to see the Blue Man Group.  We are so excited about the diversity in this years Stadium of Fire line up.
Third, my husband and I are huge Glenn Beck fans.  We would love to experience Glenn’s wit and humor, and love for our country at this event.
Fourth, my husband is one of the most patriotic people I know.  His love and respect for this country inspires me.  He is also a great husband and father. My husband’s birthday is on July 8th and we would love to attend Stadium of Fire for his birthday outting.  Due to our daughter having a life threatening illness and the cost of her medical bills, we are unable to afford tickets at this time.
Finally, we are proud of the patriotism shown in our community and feel there is no other place we would rather spend the Fourth of July.  What a wonderful experience to be in the midst of this awesome display of freedom, celebration, and gratitude.
Please consider our family for your essay contest and thank you for the opportunity to enter.

Brooke: Me plus Miley Cyrus

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Deserve isn’t the right word for me. I wouldn’t say I deserve the tickets because I am not her number one fan but I am a giant fan.
.I only have one poster of her. I memorized all her songs and made dance moves for them. I have always wanted to go to her  concert, but the prices were always an issue and they were gone like hot cakes. But that isn’t a sob story.I haven’t loved her ever since she came out.In fact I was sort of ……Jealous. She is so lucky to get to be an actress,a singer ,a star!I have always dreamed to be in one of her episodes. And my dad said Follow your dreams. But if I never get to be on one of her episodes i just want to go to a concert.I’d rather go to this concert than Vannessa Hugdens concert,Ashley Tisdales concert,Corbin Bleu”s concert and Aly and Aj’s concert.I think Miley Cyrus rocks.I do not desere them ….but ..I WOULD MORE THAN LOVE TO HAVE THEM!!!!! Me plus Miley Cyrus could (maybe) make a great team of actress.I really lone Miley Cyrus and I really really REALLY want to win!

Fee: I am your biggest FAN

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I want to start by saying I love Miley Cyrus !!!!!!!!! SHE HAS AN AMASING VOICE AND I  DESERVE THESE TICKETS BECAUSE First my cousin really likes miley cyrus and hannah montanna so so so much and it would mean a lot to her if I can surprise her with getting these tickets we would have a lot of fun! She gets straight A’s in school and just moved from California And has never ever bean to a concert and seen fireworks up close and I would like to see her happy she misses her friends back in Fresno. Second Also I deserve these tickets more than any thing in the whole world because I try to be a good girl (nobody’s perfect I gota work it again and again tell I get it right)   and I get good grade and I would like to see MILEY sing I can sing and I practice all the time and who knows maybe someday I will be a singer! It would be neat to get the stadium of fire tickets and see her in person that is a dream of mine! The third reason I think I deserve the tickets is so I can spend some or a lot more time with my Mom, Aunt and Cousin and have a good time doing so. I did not tell my cousin about the contest so that I can surprise her if I win! I also think that you (the one in charge of the contest) are doing a great job and it is good to have people concerned about all of us kids! There needs to be more people out there like you! 280So if you fine me the winner of the contest I would be extremely grateful to you and everyone that has been a part of this contest and  give you all a great big hug thanks!!!  FEE

angie: why i deserve to have miley cyrus tickets

Monday, June 30th, 2008

dear, Miley Cyrus
my name is angie, i am 15 years old. i live in mississauga ON. I just want to tell you that you are my idol. we are almost the same age and so you really have a big effect on me and i love everything that you do.  know that the big revealing of your pictures didn’t go so well, but i just want to tell you that i have always believe in you and know that you will make the right choice next time. I will never give up on you. You have inspired me to want to sing and act and just love what your doing in your life.I think that i deserve the Miley Cyrus tickets because i have never been to a concert before and i would love to go to yours as my first one.I only have one parent ( my mother) so i know its hard for my mom to get tickets. But i love her and i know she is working very hard. Mabey if i did have a father there would be two incomes and i would have been able to go to one of your concerts. So  The one thing that i wanted to ask you is that i know you have a good relationship with your dad and i was wondering if i was really missing something amazing? Cause My dad left me when i was 3 years old, and i have just always wondered what it was like to have a father figure. Anyways I think that your so inspiring because you have inspired me, and i hope that i could meet you one day, so going to one of your concerts would be one of my dreams come true. If you see this i just want to sayt hank you for talking the time to read my essay and even if i dont win, you are still my idol :D (L)
i love you Miley Cyrus.

jennaybent: The little fan that could

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Every now and then someone special changes the face of entertainment as we know it. They start with a dream and some natural talent, step into the limelight through hard work and ambition, and catch a following of fans with explosive energy and pure entertainment. They’re the Garth Brooks’, Elvis Presleys, Beatles and Madonnas of the world. In 1992 we caught a glimpse of such an entertainer, before he and his ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ slipped out of the spotlight. Little did we know, the best was yet to come from his little baby girl.

I met Miley Cyrus for the first time last fall. I didn’t know her name or why my cousin, like so many other kids his age, loved the bubbly teenager. That didn’t last long though. By the end of the first episode I caught a glimpse of what her hordes of fans saw–a genuine, charismatic and natural talent you can’t help but love. I can’t say I jumped fully on the bandwagon that day. I didn’t run out to the nearest mall to buy my Hannah Montana T-shirts or posters, I did however gain an appreciation for the kind of talent that comes around only once in a while.

I won’t profess to be the number one Hannah Montana fan. As a full-time student with a part-time job I have to admit I don’t have time to follow her adventures. But this isn’t about me. I’m entering this on behalf of someone who I consider to be the number one Hannah Montana fan.

Shortly after meeting Miss Hannah Montana herself courtesy of her TV show, I met Sammi. I didn’t see it at first. She seemed like your average college student. But then Hannah Montana blasted across the airwaves in my friend’s truck. Sammi went crazy. She was all Christmas morning excited and first kiss giddy in mere seconds. She reverted from a college student into a pre-teen, star-struck fan. That’s when I first learned Sammi love, love, loved Hannah Montana. But that was only the tip of the iceberg.

The first time I stepped into Sammi’s house it was like stepping into an alternate universe–one where Hannah Montana reigned supreme. Her voice blasted from the stereo, her face from the living room furniture–Sammi’s favorite bean bag chair features none other than Hannah Montana herself. Sammi had all the magazines, clothes and posters you could imagine.

Her love for Hannah Montana extended beyond her material possessions. When asked to come up with an idea for a writing class, Sammi had to center it around Hannah Montana. She ran it by her professor and got approval to write her final term paper on the world’s newest heroine–Hannah Montana–and the effect that she has on youth worldwide.

If that’s not dedicated, I don’t know what is. If there’s a way for Sammi to exude her fanaticism, she finds it. Unfortunately, this little ball of fanship hasn’t made her way to a Hannah Montana concert yet. Sammi comes from a large family and is struggling to pay her way through school. She can’t afford to gas her car, let alone take in her favorite singer’s act. This is where you and I come in. I’m hoping that I can present a convincing enough argument to appeal to you, the judges, that there will be no choice but for you to send Sammi to the concert in Provo.

I can’t begin to imagine her reaction. I know this gesture will make her year and possibly her entire college experience. That’s how much she loves Miley Cyrus. I don’t know a lot about Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus for that matter. I do know that she means the world to Sammi. If you want the wildest, craziest, most dedicated fan in attendance I would submit that you either open your hearts and extend this opportunity to little Sammi, or let me know the best way to sneak into Lavell Stadium. That way, Sammi really can have the best of both worlds.

Mom: Cinderella’s night at the ball

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Once upon a time there was a fair maiden named Bianca Rose. She usually had a happy life until her not so evil but sneaky brothers came along. They loved to torment the fair maiden. They wrecked her clean room, spilled her make-up and tossed her clean clothes all over the place! To top it all off, she was the one who was made to clean up after them!
After a grueling day of teasing, mocking and just plain torture she liked to  hide away in her locked tower bedroom. Her only comfort was her poster of Queen Miley and her CD of Queen Miley’s greatest songs. Bianca Rose knew every word and all the moves to Queen Miley’s songs. She would emerge from her room refreshed and ready to face the sneaky boys.
One evening Bianca Rose heard that Queen Miley was going to perform live for all the towns people. She wanted so very badly to go-she didn’t even mind that her brothers were being super sneaky and hiding in her closet watching her dance around! Alas the poor girl realized that the tickets had all been bought up and none were available, and the ones that were offered had outrageous price tags.Bianca cleaned her room extra clean and did extra chores to try to earn money to get tickets. Just imagine! One night with no brothers!Just her mom,Aunt and cousin enjoying a girls night out!
Soon Bianca had saved enough for one ticket but she couldn’t go alone-after all she is only eight! What was a girl to do? Then her mom heard of a contest and maybe they had a slight glimmer of hope to WIN the tickets! Her mom really thought Bianca would love to win the tickets so she sat down and wrote about her fair daughter. She came up with a lovely fairy tale about their life.
Now we wait for the happy ending… Will Bianca get to see her Queen Miley?
Will her brothers ever stop teasing the fair maiden?

Now we will wait and see……

chibiamy: Why I Made My Daughter Write An Essay…

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Long, long ago, well, several months ago, that is, I tried to get tickets to the Stadium of Fire.  I had tried to get tickets, because I had created a Miley Cyrus fan out of my seven year old daughter, and her birthday is in the middle of July.  I thought that going to the concert and seeing the fireworks with her two best friends would be a delight for her.  Unfortunately, everyone else in Utah had just as good of reasons to want to see the concert and I was unable to get tickets. Thankfully, I have a daughter who is very understanding.
We have been looking together, periodically, for more tickets to the concert.  That’s not working out well, either, as it is summer and we are extremely busy.  We either miss them, or we’re too busy to look, or she has been away at art camp for two weeks and I just forget.
The near-obsession of Miley Cyrus is my fault.  I have been looking for music that my children will enjoy, that is of appropriate subject matter, and all those other little things that parents worry about. All three of my children enjoy music to an equal degree.  However, my daughter has really latched onto the girl-empowered themes of Miley Cyrus and Hillary Duff the most.  I bought a two-disc cd set of Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana for my daughter and I swear, if you could wear CD’s out, she would have by now.
Now we come to the real subject of this essay: Why I am making my daughter write an essay and turn it into this contest.  First of all, I do not expect my essay to be in consideration for the tickets.  It is more of a follow-up to my daughter’s.  I am making her write an essay because we all need to learn, from an early age on, the value of work.  Even if she does not win the contest and does not win the tickets, she is proud that she was able to three hundred plus words together.  It is quite the accomplishment for her.  She has never had to do an essay of this size before, and the smile on her face after I typed it in, and made spelling corrections, and knowing it was HER own entry – well that is one of the themes of Miley’s music, is it not?  She accomplished something, and is better for it. Self-esteem will be everything for her as she grows older, she will need it during the frightening times of just becoming an adolescent, and growing up.
That is why I made my daughter write an essay for this contest.

Morgie: Why I want to see Miley Cyrus

Monday, June 30th, 2008

My name is Morgan, and I will be going to third grade next year.  I love Miley Cyrus’s music, alot.  I listen to it whenever I can.  I like to dance to Miley Cyrus, her music is so fun.
My birthday is in July.  I will be turning eight years old.  I really wanted to go to the Miley Cyrus concert for my birthday.  My two friends like Miley Cyrus, too.  My mom could not get tickets to the concert and that was okay.
My mom then found out about the essay contest.  She said it would be good for me to try to write an essay.  Three hundred words is alot of writing.  I’m trying my best.
Why do I like Miley Cyrus?  I think her music is very fun.  I like her music alot.  I also like her television show on the Disney channel.  It’s funny.  I like Miley Cyrus’s smile.  She has a pretty smile.  She also sings really good.  One day I would like to sing like she can.
I even have a Hannah Montana purse shaped like a guitar.  I take the purse with me wherever I go.  It has my Hannah Montana hair bands in it, and my brush. It makes me feel like a bigger girl like my friend’s older sister when I carry it around with me.
I would really like to go to the Stadium of Fire because it is two weeks before my birthday.  I would like to go with my two best friends, and my mom would take us.  We would have alot of fun dancing to Miley Cyrus’s songs.  We would all like to see her even if she is really small like an ant.  It would be her, not just her on the television.  That would be really cool!
My mom also says to tell you thank you for having this contest.  So thank you.  I hope I win the tickets, but even if I don’t, someone will be very happy and that’s just cool.
